William "Tad" Lee Simpson Jr.

William L. “Tad” Simpson, Jr. 61, of Vidor died Friday, October 7, 2016 in Vidor, TX after a lengthy illness. He was born in Beaumont on December 13, 1954 and raised in Vidor, the son of Bill and Eva Jewel (Hollingsworth) Simpson, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Tad was a welder by trade and an accomplished craftsman who liked to hand craft knives and make all types of items with leather and wood. Before his illness, he enjoyed traveling, loved the mountains and riding his bicycle. Arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home. He is survived by his Dad, William L. “Bill” Simpson, Sr. of Vidor, his sister, Kellye Simpson of Erie, Colorado, brother Stuart Simpson and his wife Tammy, two nephews, Ben Simpson and Eli Simpson all of Vidor. Tad was preceded in death by his Mother, Eva Jewel Simpson.
