Bill Mitchell, 91, of Vidor died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Longville, LA., he has lived in Vidor since 1950, and was a retired construction worker with Union Local # 2232 in Orange. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Mansfield Cemetery in Vidor, Texas. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 and Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Doris J. Mitchell. He is survived by his sons Jimmie Mitchell of Orange, David Mitchell of Sour Lake, and Guy Mitchell of Bridge City, brother Richard Dick Mitchell of Phoenix, AZ., sister Ouida Cooley of DeQuincy, LA., twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
