William Ethan Simmons, Jr

William E. Simmons, 79, of Vidor died Monday, July 30, 2012 at his daughters residence in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. William worked for the Beaumont Enterprise and Journal where he retired after 47 yrs of service in the mail room and served his country in the US Army Reserves. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. William was preceded in death by his daughter Beverly Diane Simmons. He is survived by his daughters Melba Simmons Hoffpauir and her husband Tim of Vidor, TX, Darlene Mutzbauer of Jacksonville, TX, sons Ethan Simmons III of Leaksville, MS, Shelby Simmons of Lumberton, TX, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
