William Boyd Whitmire

William B. Whitmire, 69, of Vidor died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Vidor, William was a retired operator with Local #195, a member of The Order of The Eastern Star Chapter # 914, Pine Forest Masonic Lodge #1420, and was also a member of the El Mina Shriners in Galveston. William served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. William was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Rosie Whitmire. William is survived by his wife Patsy Whitmire, daughters Celina Dobbs and husband Buddy, and Debbie Burns all of Vidor, five grandchildren: William Burns, Josie Ryder, Katie Burns, Aaron Burns, and Jamie Dobbs, and six great grandsons.
