Willard Ray Philmon, Sr

Williard R. Philmon Sr, 78, of Vidor died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Willard was an electrician for M & I Electrical for over 30 years and American Valve for 20 years. Hewas a member of the VFW where he sang and danced on a weekly bases andserved his country during the Korean War in the US Army. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Willard is survived by his sons Roy and Wayne Philmon both of Orange, TX, Mark Philmon of Vidor, TX, and Ray Philmon of Rollover Pass, TX. daughter Sylvia Philmon of Vidor, TX, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
