Wilhelmina Wylie, 98, of Vidor died Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at her residence. A native of Concordia Parish, LA, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Wilhelmina was a member of First Christian Church in Vidor, First Church of God in Beaumont, Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaumont. She was a past worthy matron and 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #914 in Vidor, former teacher of the Friendship class at Trinity United Methodist Church and organized domino games at Vidor community center for years. Funeral services were officiated by Pastor Vicki Peters of Trinity United Methodist Church. Additional speakers were Stewart Cathey of Monroe, La and Paullette Burrhus of Beaumont, TX. Services were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial following at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation began at 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home. Wilhelmina is survived by her daughter Sarah Atkins and her husband Robert of Vidor, TX, daughter-in-law Sandra Wylie of Vidor, TX, 2 grandchildren Travis Wylie and his wife Teri of Humble, TX, Melissa Rose and her husband Michael of Huntsville, AR, 5 great granddaughters and 2 great great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon "Bones" Wylie, son Randy Wylie and companion Sadie. Pallbearers were nephews Henry, Bobby, Warren, Harrison Wylie, Karl Stephenson and Larry Tinsley. The family would like to send a special thank you to Bonnie Stephenson, Mary Tinsley, Diane Wylie, Pat Whitmire, Jan and Julie Bodin and Texas Total Care Hospice.
