Wilburn Lee Davenport, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at his residence in Vidor, Texas. A native of Rockdale, Texas, Wilburn lived a full and dedicated life, spending many years in Vidor. He worked as a food broker for Acosta Foods in Houston, where he retired after an impressive 38 years of service.
Wilburn had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, and his happiest moments were spent hunting, fishing, or tending to his yard. His love for nature was as deep as his love for his family, and he cherished the simple pleasures life had to offer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Alisa Davenport of Vidor, TX; his son, Ricky Davenport and wife Germaine of Vidor, TX; and his daughter, Janet Loya and husband Anthony of League City, TX. He also leaves behind his brother, Kenneth Davenport and wife Joyce of Santa Fe, TX, and his beloved grandson, Braden Loya of League City, TX.
A memorial service will be held at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX, with the date and time to be announced.
