Wendy Michelle Harris

On February 10, 2013, Wendy Harris of Vidor, TX., died while visiting in Savannah, GA. She was born December 22, 1968, in Beaumont, TX., and was a 1987 graduate of Vidor High School. She attended Lamar University, and Houston Baptist University, returned home to graduate from Lamar with a B.S. degree in Sociology. After working as a Realtor, a counselor for TDC, and briefly teaching school, she developed health problems. Wendy greatly loved, and enjoyed her friends and family. Wendy was preceded in death by her brother Paul Everett Smith, and her grandparents, W.L. and Amanda Smith, and Giselle and John O'Quinn. She is survived by her three children, Cole Michalk, Paisley Harris, and Gracie Harris of Vidor, her parents, Jimmy and Candy Smith of Vidor, brother Job Allen Smith of Vidor and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had heart surgery in Atlanta, GA., with numerous complications. Visitation will be held at, Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral will be Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Vidor.
