Wayne Arthur Bowlen, 56, of Vidor, Texas passed away July 22nd, 2018 at his residence. Born in Marshall, Missouri (home of Jim the Wonder Dog), Wayne lived in Vidor for 56 years. Wayne worked as a machinist at IDOCO, a mechanic at C&M Auto, a pumper/operator at the Lower Neches Valley Authority, a machinist at Dover Co., and rounded out his career in home health at Home Care Innovations, Inc. Wayne graduated from Vidor High School in 1980 and obtained his LVN from Lamar State College - Orange in 1994. Wayne loved nature, was an avid gardener, and loved the Dallas Cowboys. Wayne was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray Bowlen of Tina, Missouri. Wayne is survived by his wife Anna Bowlen of Kharkov, Ukraine, mother Maybelle Bowlen of North Adams, Massachusetts, son Ryan Bowlen of Vidor and wife Bailey, daughter Maranda Bowlen of Vidor, brother Lynn Bowlen of Vidor and wife Jeannie, many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, 1750 HWY. 12, Vidor, Texas. Visitation will be held from 9-10am Saturday. There will be a Celebration of Life at Louis Benoit Hall at 3085 Hwy 12, Vidor, TX on Sunday 22nd from 2pm-7pm. Arrangements and food for Sunday should be brought to Benoit Hall after 9am on Sunday.
