Walter Wallace, Jr, 80, of Vidor died Tuesday January 28, 2003 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Corning, Arkansas, he lived in Vidor for the past 50 years. He was an operator at Mobil Oil and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor. Walter served his country in the U.S. Army in WW II. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 1, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday January 31, 2003 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 45 yrs Peg Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 4 years Barbara Wallace of Vidor, TX., sons: Jim Wallace of Ft. Worth, TX., Roger Lyle of Beaumont, TX., Theron Lyle of Vidor, TX., daughters: Sherry Gallier, and Debra Padia both of Beaumornt, TX., brothers: Wayne Wallace of Beaumont, TX., Ray Wallace of Vidor, TX., Leon Wallace of Houston, TX., sisters: Geradline Woodall of Troup, TX., Helen Henson of Ivinhoe, TX., 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
