Walter "Tony" Finch

Walter "Tony" Finch, 82 of Vidor, TX died Monday, January 20th, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Brooklyn, NY he was a longtime resident of Vidor and worked as a Longshoreman at the Port of Beaumont for 25 years. Tony enjoyed working in his yard, making handcrafted canes and hanging out at the Waffle House with his friends. Tony was an entertainer with the Charlie Pruitt Show in Beaumont. He loved watching TV and sports and was known for making people laugh. Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Julia Finch, 3 daughters; Candy Vinson and her husband Brent of College Station, TX, Janice Rowell and her husband Brad of Vidor, and Paula Estrada and her husband Mario of Vidor, 3 sons; Tom Finch of College Station, Darrin Finch and his Fiance' Mary Salinas of Baytown, TX and Chad Finch and his wife Ashley of Ft. Worth, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 sister; Ethel Finch of FL, and 1 brother; William Finch of NY. Tony was preceded in death by 1 great granddaughter; Leigha Landry along with several brothers and sisters.
