V.G. Stains, Sr

V.G. Stains Sr, 83, of Vidor, TX died Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at Christus Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Starks, LA he was a longtime resident of Vidor and worked as a tree trimmer for Asplundh Co. for 30 years. V.G. enjoyed playing cards and dominoes but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m. V.G. is survived by 1 daughter; Barbara Lee and her companion Jimmy of Vidor, 1 son; V.G. Stains Jr of Gist, TX along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; Frances Stains, 1 daughter; Mary McGee, and 1 son; John Stains. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
