Vera D. Thornhill of Call, TX died Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at Christus Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Vidor, TX that had made Call, TX her home for the last eight years. She was a homemaker, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas O. Thornhill Sr., son James D. Thornhill Jr., grandson Jacob Harvey, father Burley Flowers, mother Gertrude Hooks, siblings Margret, Weldon, Darlene, Mary Lou and Phyllis. She is survived by her daughter Anna Lechinger of Vidor, TX, grandchildren Tammy Williams of Call, TX, Charles Simmons Jr. of Vidor, TX, James Douglas Thornhill Jr., and Melissa Harvey Lumberton, TX, great grandchildren Jacee (Williams) Havard of Call, TX,, Tana (Williams) Leavings Call, TX, Jared Williams of Call, TX, Joshua Harvey of Lumberton, TX, Emily Harvey of Lumberton, TX, Alexis Harvey of Lumberton, TX and 1 great great grandchild Trevor Williams of Call, TX, numerous nieces and nephews.
