Velma Royce King

Velma R. King, 83, of Vidor died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Star, TX., she has lived in Vidor since 1991, and was a retired waitress with The Pig Stand in Beaumont, and a homemaker. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Old Faith Chapel in Vidor. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and one grandchild. Velma is survived by her husband Joe Davis King, son James G. Wood, and daughter Velma Cash all of Vidor, sister Louise Hill of Caro, MI., six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
