Vanessa M. Brownell, 55, of Beaumont, TX died Sunday, September 24th, 2017 in Beaumont at The Clairmont. A native of Beaumont and former resident of Vidor, TX she loved reading her Bible, listening to Gospel music and singing. Vanessa also liked to cook, do cross-stitching and loved cats. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Vanessa is survived by her loving husband; James Brownell of 17 years, 1 son; Jonathan Livingston of Beaumont, 1 granddaughter; Lynleigh Livingston, 2 sisters; Robin Jarrell of Vidor and Barbara Smith of Houston, TX, and 1 brother; Raymond Morace of Jackson, GA. Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents; Van and Evelyn Mayo, 1 daughter; Amber Nikkol Mayo, 1 sister; Dorcia Wiley and 1 brother; Roger Mayo.
