Valre Austin Carter

November 6, 1937 — October 12, 2004

Valre Carter, 66, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of El Campo, TX., she has lived in Beaumont, Orange, Vidor, the Golden Triangle for many years. Valre was a devoted homemaker, and proud member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, and was also a member of Woodsmen of the World Society. Graveside services will be Friday, October 15, 2004 at Restlawn Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years Fred Carter, sons, David L. Austin, Jr., Vernon K. Austin, and Jeffrey Carter, daughters, Violet Austin Taylor, Pamela Holmes, and Patricia White, brother, Melvin J. Brown, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
