Uina "Mama" Shafer

Uina Shafer, 85of Vidor died Friday, July 17th, 2020 at her residence. A native of Lake Charles, LA, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Uina wa a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor and was retired. She enjoyed doing craft's and gardening. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. Uina was preceded in death by her husband Arthur I. Shafer Jr., and son Shane Shafer Sr. She is survived by her daughters Linda Savoie and her husband Glen, Dawn Fischer, and Cindy Shafer all of Vidor, TX, brother Cliffton Peloquin of Garden Groves, CA, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
