Travis Hemmenway

Travis Hemmenway, 89, of Vidor died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Senior Nursing and Rehab Center in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Port Neches, he has lived in Vidor for 80 years, and was a retired pipe fitter with Union Local #195. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Travis was preceded in death by his wife Florence Maples Hemmenway, sons Phillip and Gus Hemmenway, and by numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons Tyra Hemmenway, Sr., Frank Hemmenway, Tyra Hemmenway, Jr., and Dallas Hemmenway all of Vidor, daughters Sylvia Smith of Vidor, Trevelyn Sheppard of Port Hill ID., Louise Berlson, Evelyn Vaughn and Louvisie Teems all of Vidor, sisters Mytel Menindino and Ethel Marie both of Vidor, twenty grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
