Tommye Drue Kirkland

Tommye D. Kirkland, 88, of Vidor died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at her residence. A native of Burkeville, TX, she was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Tommye was a member of the Nurses Association and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to do yard work. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Tanner Cemetery in Burkeville, TX at 1:00 pm. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, October 31, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Tommye is survived by her son James Kirkland, grandsons, Keith Kirkland, Kevin Kirkland, Joey Kirkland and wife Misty, granddaughters: Michelle Mooney and husband Lane, Sharrah Self and husband Frank all of Vidor, TX, 17 great grandchildren and 1great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Perry Watson, husband Jim Kirkland, Son, Terry Kirkland.
