Tommy Lee Poole, 91, died Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 in Beaumont. A native of Grayburg, TX, Tommy was a longtime resident of Vidor where he owned the Western Auto store. He was a World War II Navy veteran and bugler. Tommy loved cars, hunting, and fishing and just enjoyed being around people. He was actively involved with the Rotary Club of Vidor, Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Vidor school board and First United Methodist Church of Vidor. He was also a member of Masonic Lodges 1286 of Vidor and 1002 of Sour Lake. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake, TX. Tommy is survived by 2 daughters, Laura Fredieu and husband Kenny of Fannett, TX, and Linda Squires and husband Rick of Port Bolivar, and 1 son, David Poole and wife Mary of Beaumont. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, John and Douglas Poole, Chad Squires and Katie Tousha, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandson, brother, Louis Preston Poole, II of San Mateo, CA and multiple nieces and nephews. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Poole, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
