Tommie L. Sherrod

Tommie L. Sherrod, 88, of Vidor died Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Burkeville, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Tommie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Vidor and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, May 25, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Tommie was preceded in death by her husband Benton L. Sherrod, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her sons Ben Sherrod and his wife Jenni of Lumberton, TX, Bobby Sherrod and his wife Debi of Vidor, TX, Bill Sherrod and his wife Carole Beth of Silsbee, TX, daughter Beth Patten and her husband Carl of Orange, TX, brothers Bill McGraw of Jasper, TX, A.V. "Buddy" McGraw Jr of Austin, TX, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Vidor building fund.
