Timothy "Tim" Owen Looney

Tim O. Looney, 68 of Vidor died Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Ardmore, Oklahoma, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Tim retired from Huntsman Chemical Plant in Port Arthur after 34 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict were he received the Purple Heart Medal. Tim was active in the local AA and loved to helped people. Tim enjoyed walking and playing bingo, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Tim is survived by his son Steven Looney of Alaska, daughters Diana Winfrey and Lori Looney both of Vidor, TX, Longtime girlfriend Lerlene Gunstream of Vidor, TX, son-in-law Chyenne Bussell of Vidor, TX and daughter-in-law Beth Looney of Alaska, 5 sisters, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
