Tharon H. Kirkland, 83, of Vidor died Friday, May 30, 2003 at Spring Seasons Nursing Home in Vidor, TX. A native of Lufkin, Texas she has lived in Vidor since 1945, and was a designer for Vidor Florist in Vidor, TX. Funeral services will be Monday, June 2, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with the burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin Sunday, June 1, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Kirkland in 1996, and three brothers, Marvin Hines, Garvis Hines, and Callie Hines.. She is survived by her sons, Elvis Kirkland and wife Cleita of Winnie, TX., Steven Kirkland and wife Lou of Vidor, TX., daughter, Juanice Wilson and husband Ernest of Vidor, TX. Seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to: The American Cancer Society, 4020 Hale, Vidor, Texas 77662.
