Ted Leon Hanchey

Theodore "Ted" Leon Hanchey, 82, of Vidor, died Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur, TX, Ted was a longtime resident of Vidor.

Ted was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Vidor and served in the US Army Reserves. Ted was a real entrepreneur owning Gun Runners sporting goods store in the Golden Triangle and Sports Kingdom sporting goods in California. Ted was also a talented home builder and the owner/operator of various real estate ventures in Beaumont, where he built and managed numerous properties.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betsy Hanchey of Vidor, TX; his children, Marc G. Mauboules and wife Christy of Vidor, TX, and Stephanie D. Hanchey of Houston, TX; and his grandchildren, Mia X. Strom, Briegh Mauboules, and Brody Mauboules.
