Ted Earl Adams Sr, "Grampy", 69, died Monday, January 8th, 2018 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. A native of Fayette City, PA he was a longtime resident of Vidor, TX. Ted served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad after 33 years as a mechanical supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and coached youth baseball and football in Vidor for many years. Ted was a great Dad and Grampy to many and loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Friday, January 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Gerri Adams, 1 daughter; Angela Lawrence and her husband William of Vidor, 2 sons; Ted Adams, Jr. and his wife Kasi of Lufkin, TX and Ben Adams and his wife Kristen of Vidor and 5 grandchildren; Madaleine, Tryce and Walker Adams of Lufkin, Blake Lawrence of Vidor and James Adams also of Vidor. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; Doran and Virginia Adams.
