Syble Bernice Dupree

Syble Dupree, 76, of Vidor died Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Kountze Nursing Center in Kountze, TX. A native of Honey Island, TX., she lived in Vidor for 34years before making her home in Kountze, Texas 2 years ago. Mrs. Dupree was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Vidor, and was a homemaker. Syble loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 11, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, TX. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home. Syble is survived by her sons, Lee Wheeler, Jr., and his wife Gloria of Lumberton, TX., Cody Wheeler and his wife Glenda of Crockett, TX., Roy Wheeler and his wife Pattie of Dayton, TX., Clint Wheeler and his wife Sharon of Crockett, TX., daughters, Bernice Reeves of Tomball, TX., Sheila Smith and her husband James of Livermore, CA., and Suzanne Parrott of Vidor, TX., brothers, Fred Kimmey of Kountze, TX., H.C. Kimmey and his wife Mary Ann of Navasota, TX., sisters, Robbie Abshere and her husband Norman of Port Neches, TX., Betty O’Dell of Houston, TX., and Charlotte Riggs and her husband Billy of Houston, TX., sister-in-law Marilyn Kimmey of Port Neches, TX., thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Syble is preceded in death by her parents, Cody and Laura Kimmey, husband, Eric Q. Dupree, brother, H.T. “Buck” Kimmey, brother-in-law, James O’Dell, and sister-in-law Alma Kimmey.
