Vidor

Sue Doiron, 82, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024. Known affectionately to many as "Nana Sue”.

Sue lived a life full of love and total devotion to her family. Nana Sue was a master seamstress, making her own fashionable clothes for herself and her granddaughters. She even took apart an entire bridesmaid dress and put it back together so it would fit her granddaughter perfectly. When she was not sewing, she was shopping and making sure her girls and boys had the perfect outfits. She had a green thumb and eye for décor and enjoyed making her yard and her home look magazine worthy. She took delight in her role as a cook, relishing the opportunity to gather her family around delicious meals and cherished moments. When you sat at her table, she made sure your favorite meal was prepared. She had four sons so that meant 4 different breakfasts. She continued this indulgence with all her babies. Her Christmas trees were legendary, reflecting her meticulous attention to detail, if one ornament was out of place she knew. Always impeccably dressed, Sue owned the room when she walked into it. She was a force of nature and there was nothing that she would not conquer or accomplish for her family. She loved to spoil you but if she gave you her famous "look" you knew she meant business. She was a “SUPERWOMAN” in her family’s eyes and will be incredibly missed.

She is survived by her son, Butch Chesser of Vidor, TX, her grandchildren Corey Chesser and wife Angie, Hope Long and husband Josh, Hannah Ezell and husband Calvin, Nicole Hancock and husband Carl, Blair Nealy and husband Brad, Mark Chesser II, Andy Turner and wife Lacey, Marcus Doiron and wife Kristina, Brooke Raymond and husband Charlie, Tyler Doiron-Neal and husband Grant, Sydney Doiron-Carr, Justin Ard and wife Lindsey, Shane Ard and wife Emily, daughter in law Reene Chesser, Melanie Statum, and Jodie Benoit and last but certainly not least, her “favorites”, her beloved GREAT grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Doiron, and her sons, Guy Chesser, Mark Chesser I, and Todd Chesser, her bonus children Doug Doiron, Rolanda Doiron, and Darren Doiron and daughter in law Roggie Eastwood.

Despite the challenges she faced, Sue remained a pillar of strength and resilience for her family, always finding a way to make things happen and to ensure their happiness.

In the hearts of those who knew her, "Nana Sue" will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Her legacy of family unity and celebration of life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her presence.”
