Stonewall James Ellis

Stonewall “Stoney” Ellis, 59, of Vidor died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Houston, TX. A native of Perry, GA., he has lived in Vidor for 18 years and was a machinist with CBH Services for 15 years, and with Gulf Copper for 3 years. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents Janie Dunn and Lee Ellis. Stoney is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cynthia Ellis, and daughter Courtney M. Ellis both of Vidor, sisters Melba Gordon and her husband John of Orange Park, FL., and Beverly Sargent and her husband Mike of Loxahatchee, FL., and his step-father Raymond Dunn of Macon, GA.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Stoney, to a college fund set up for his daughter Courtney M. Ellis at a local 5 Point Credit Union.
