Steven Frank Kirkland

Steven Kirkland, 73 of Vidor died Thursday, August 9th, 2018. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Steven was a member of Turning Point Church and was a pipe fitter for Temple Eastex Paper Mill in Evadale where he retired in1996 after 31 years. Steven enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He loved life and his family. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 13, 2018 at Turning Point Church in Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Steven is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Tharon Kirkland , brother and sister- in- law Elvis and Cleita Kirkland, sister Juanice Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lou Kirkland of Vidor, TX, sons Clint Kirkland of Mauriceville, TX, and Darin Kirkland of Vidor, TX, brother- in- law Ernest Wilson of Evadale, TX, 2 granddaughters Lindsay Brown and her husband Casey, and Kenzee Kirkland, 2 great grandchildren all of Vidor and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
