Stanley "Stan" Elmer Sampson Sr.

Stanley E. Sampson Sr., 91 of Vidor died Sunday, August 21st, 2022 at his residence. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Stanley was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5789. He was a retired Machinist with Inland Orange where he worked for 25+ years. Stanley served his county in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf and was a barber in his younger years. Stanley married Rose Bagesse Sampson in 1950. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, a rosary at 10:45 am at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor Saturday, August 27, 2022. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. Stanley is survived by his children Stanley Elmer Sampson Jr and his wife Karen of Vidor, TX, Joseph Sampson and his wife Theresa of Vidor, TX, Gina Sampson Fletcher and her husband Pat of Bridge City, TX, and Monica Rose Sampson Greene and her husband Randy of Vidor, TX, brother Jim Sampson of Cincinnati, Ohio, 13 grandchildren Brandon Sampson, Amy Smedra, Travis Hughes, Misty Roche, Michael Sampson, Jared Sampson, Carrie McDaniels, Dan Fletcher, Justin Fletcher, Matthew Greene, Stephen Greene, Caleb Greene, Shelby Hanks and 24 great grandchildren.
