Sidney E. Pillow went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, January 19, 2020. Born in Sour Lake, he was a proud 1961 Sour Lake High School classmate. He was a pipefitter by trade. After moving to Vidor in 1968, he served on the City Council as both secretary and Mayor Pro Tem. He later worked as the Director of Public Works for Vidor. In 2012 he started the Vidor Chapter of Little Dribblers Basketball. He loved and played all sports and officiated both football and basketball. He accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 13 at First Baptist Church of Sour Lake. He was a member of Turning Point Church of Vidor and greatly loved his church family. He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Jo, brother Lamar, sisters Ruth and Freda. His is survived by his wife of 51 years Judy Revia Pillow, son Trent and daughter Ami, mother and father in love Buck and Margie Revia and his beloved grandsons Alex, Bret and Caleb, daughter Laura, grandsons Nolan, Kyle, Christopher and Cody, great grandson Clay, brother Elbert, sister Sherry and brother in law Scott. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor where a gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 pm Thursday, January 23,2020. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
