Shirley Beatrice Godeaux

Shirley Beatrice Godeaux, age 85, passed away on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, in the comfort of her Vidor residence. A proud native of Beaumont, Texas, Shirley had made Vidor her home for many years. She brought a dash of humor and joy to every room she entered.

Shirley was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. She had a remarkable career, first with Gulf States Utility Company as a clerk and later with the City of Vidor, showing her dedication and work ethic throughout her life.

One of Shirley's favorite pastimes was her weekly games of dominoes with her dear friends, and she had a knack for making every gathering a joyous occasion. She also had a love for fishing, finding peace by the water's edge, and perhaps sharing a fishing story or two.

Shirley is survived by her beloved son, Harry Godeaux and wife Terri of Vidor, Texas. She is also survived by eight adoring grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense happiness and pride to her life.
