Scott Lee Holladay, aged 56, of Vidor, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 8th, 2024, in Dayton, TX. Born in Houston, Texas, he had been a cherished member of the Dayton community.
Scott was known for his dedication as a construction worker, his love for fishing, and his role as a beloved uncle to numerous nephews and great-nieces.
He is survived by his sister, Loretta "Macy" McBroom, and her husband David of Vidor, TX, as well as his adopted parent, Clarence Yarbrough, of Vidor, TX. Scott will be dearly missed by his nephews Daniel Crocker and his wife Corry, along with their child Tatum and Jaycelynn Crocker, Devin Crocker and his wife Lindsey, and their child Harper Crocker. He is survived by Marcus Harris, Creston Harris, and Leslie Harris, and Michael Holladay and wife Brooke, and Mackenzie Marshall. He leaves behind a legacy of love and care for his family.
Scott is also survived by his cousins Andrew, Candace, Randall, David, and Sandy Harris, as well as the Scott family of Willis, TX, who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his biological Father Glen Holladay, Mother Peggy Scott Svec and Father Richard John "Boots" and his brother James Holladay.
Scott will be remembered for his warm heart, his ready smile, and his willingness to lend a helping hand. Loved to cook and spend with his cousins. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
