Ruby Louise Long

Ruby Louise Long, 101 of Pt. Arthur, TX died Sunday, April 30th, 2017 in Pt. Arthur. She was a longtime resident of Vidor, TX who loved to garden, doing handicrafts and playing the piano. Ruby also loved to cook Sunday dinners for her family. She was a member of the Relief Society of Vidor. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Williamson Cemetery. Ruby is survived by 2 daughters; Lois June Codona and Judith Elaine Kleger, 4 sons; Donald Long, M.D., Robert Long, James Long, M.D., and Daniel Long, 25 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers; Glenn E. MacRill and James MacRill, M.D.. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Paul Long, 2 brothers; Harry MacRill and Stanley MacRill and 1 sister; Ester Fadjo.
