Roy Rogers

Roy Rogers, 94, of Vidor died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at his residence. A native of Little Rock, AR., he has lived in Vidor since 1945, and was a retired painter with Local # 243. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Roy was preceded in death by his wife Ancie Bell Rogers, sons Charles Burrell, and Ira Rogers, daughter Annie Marie Burrell Jasper, sisters Mary Byerly and Batres Revett. He is survived by his son Jimmy L. Burrell of Vidor, daughters Sherly Cotton of Kerrville, Frances J. Deculus and Betty Ruth McGraw both of Vidor, Jessie Jean Ashworth of Grand Bay, AL., and Cindy Menard of Vidor, nineteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
