Roy D. Barker, Sr., 81, of Vidor died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Vidor Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, he has lived in Vidor for 50 years and was a retired operator with Texaco. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Roy is survived by his wife Jessie Jean Barker of Vidor, sons Roy Donald Barker, Jr of Vidor, David Wayde Barker of Cheyenne, WY., Mark Duane Barker of Fayetteville, AR., and James Floyd Barker of Vidor, daughter Mary Beth Webb of Crockett, TX., brother Richard Barker of Roland Park, KS., sister Lou Walters of Vidor, fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
