Rosie Foxworth, 81, of Vidor Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Precious memories of Rosie are left to her loving husband, Bobby Foxworth of 62 years, children (Gary Foxworth, Ricky Foxworth (Elizabeth) and Judy Foxworth), Siblings (Ruby Labarge and Paul (Joyce) Holmes), Grandchildren (Joseph (Megan) Blanchard, Amanda (Scot) Sheldon, Derrick (Christel) Foxworth, Ryan Foxworth, Garrett (Lindsey) Foxworth, Evan Foxworth, Skylar Foxworth, 10 Great Grand children as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents (Alvin and Hattie Holmes) and sisters (Francis Jordan, Ruthie Holmes and Letty Foxworth).
She retired from AT&T and began her real work as a volunteer with such organizations as the Telco Pioneer Club, United Christian Care Center, and First Baptist Church of Vidor. She was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Adult and Senior Choir, the Glory Band and the cook team. She loved to travel with her husband and had many adventures with friends and family.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Vidor, (350 North Main Street, Vidor Texas), Rev. Terry Wright officiating. Visitation will be immediately prior to the service (9 – 10 am) at the church. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Cemetery in Warren, Tx. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or The United Christian Care Center, 293 Wilson Street, Vidor Tx, 77662
