Ronald Lawson Foster

Ron Foster was born in Lufkin, TX, raised in Silsbee, TX, Ron was a graduate of Lamar University with a Social Worker degree. He retired from Southwestern Bell in 1991. Ron was a devout Christian. He served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. His favorite scripture he loved to quote was from the book of Isaiah 40:31. Ron had a passion for talking and telling stories. The family has fond memories of sitting with Ron, listening to stories about fishing, hunting, memories while growing up, and life experiences. After a long term illness, Ron passed away at the Harbor Hospital in Orange, TX, on April 4, 2008. Funeral Services will be at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor Sunday April 6, 2008 at 2 P.M. Visitation will begin Saturday April 5, 2008 at 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family would like friends to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He is survived by his wife Glenna Foster of Vidor, TX. Son Matthew Foster of Vidor, TX. Daughter Melissa Foster of Vidor, TX. Mother Nadine Foster of Silsbee, TX. Brother Gregg Foster of Plano, TX. Sister Susan Augustine and her husband Mike of Silsbee, TX. Niece Julie Smith and her husband Joe. Nephew Dr. Michael Augustine Jr. and wife Lupita. And Grandchild Zoe Hunteman.
