Born March 2nd, 1950, to parents, Everett and Dorothy Perry. Brothers, Doug, and Davey. And Sisters Joanie, Suzy and Charlene. Wife Elaine and Son Trenton. Ronald, or Ron as everyone called him, graduated from Vidor High School in 1968. He joined the Air Force the next year. He was a Load Master on C-130s and C-5 Galaxies. He used to talk so fondly of his experiences in the Air Force. He would say it was some of the coolest things he had ever been a part of. He married Frankie Shouldis in 1971. They moved to Nebraska, he joined the Railroad and in July 1975, had their son Trenton. After living in Colorado and California for a few years, Ron ended up moving back to Texas. He was already an accomplished mechanic by this time, so he took a job at a Goodyear repair shop on the west side of Houston. By 1984, he had moved to Jasper TX, and took a job in a plumbing supply store. Up until 1986, he was still active with the Air Force Reserves, studying communications technology. By then he knew he wanted more out of life and decided to go to Truck Driving School. He then moved to Deer Park TX, and began his Truck Driving career, which lasted for 20 years. Early in his driving career he met Janice Elaine Kiscaden. They were married in 1988. His son, Trenton, moved in with him and Elaine, right around the same time. She talked Ron in to getting Trenton a drum set for his birthday the next year, and his hearing was never the same again. In 1998 he decided to go back to the railroad. He spent 12 weeks in engineer school in Kansas City. He came back to Beaumont and started his next career as a railroad engineer. He retired from the railroad in December of 2019. He spent many years building his dream garage and organizing his award-winning tool collection.
Anyone who knew Ron, always had nice things to say about him. He was mentor to many, friend to many and respected by many more. Most importantly he was loved by all who knew him.
