Ronald Charles Kennerty

Ronald C. Kennerty, 89, of Vidor, TX, died Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017 in Beaumont, TX. He was born on September 24th, 1928 in Charleston, SC and lived in Aruba N.W.I. for 12 years. Ron graduated from Lago Community High School and received his B.B.A. degree from Lamar University in 1956. He retired from Great Lakes Carbon Corporation and was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Germany achieving the rank of Corporal. Ron was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Vidor, TX and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5789. He was also a past chairman of the Camping and Activities Committee, Beaumont Council Boy Scouts of America. A memorial service will be Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Houston National Cemetery, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.. Ron is survived by 1 brother; Reggie Kennerty and his wife Joan of Spring, TX, 3 nieces and 2 nephews, and 1 sister-in-law; Gloria Kennerty. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Nell Kennerty on February 15, 2007 and 1 brother; Joe Kennerty. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
