Robert Henry Smith

R.H. Smith, 68, of Vidor died Thursday May 29, 2003 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Pitkin, Louisiana, he lived in Vidor since 1961. R.H. retired from Excel Machine Shop in Beaumont as a Boilermaker and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 1, 2003 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday May 31, 2003 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Carolyn Smith of Vidor, TX., son: Robert Dewayne Smith and his wife Angie of Vidor, TX., daughter: Melinda Holcombe and her husband Jeff of Vidor, TX., brothers: Wesley Smith and Carrol Smith both of Pitkin, LA., sisters: Lucille LaCaze of Pitkin, LA., Marie Houston of Pitkin, LA., Nancy Beth Townson of Grant, LA., Sybil Stracener of Leesville, LA., grandchildren: Holly Smith of Beaumont, TX., Dustin Smith of Vidor, TX.,
