Ricky L. Smith, 58 of Vidor died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Vidor, he served his country in the United States Army, and was a boilermaker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Bessie Smith. Ricky is survived by his daughters Brittany Nicole O’Neal and husband Russell Paul of Sour Lake, and Kayla Ann Smith of Austin, brothers Buddy Smith of Vidor, Glenn Smith of Beaumont, Hank Smith of Orangefield, and Tony Smith of Vidor, sisters Linda Burnett, Dianne Whitworth, and Judy Collier all of Vidor, three grandchildren: Dylan Jacob O’Neal, Abigayle Reece O’Neal, and Aidyn Christopher O’Neal all of Sour Lake, Texas.
