Richard Wayne Smith

Rick W. Smith, 61 of Vidor died Sunday, February 17th, 2019 at his residence. A native of Beaumont, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. Rick attended Turning Point Church in Vidor and worked for the City of Vidor as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling, but he loved spending time with his granddaughter. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, February 22, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Beulah Smith, and brother Ronnie Garcia. He is survived by his son Jacob Smith and his wife Saren of Houston, TX, brothers Walter Smith of Hempstead, TX and Jacob Smith of Cleveland, TX, sister Diane Livesy of Kilgore, TX, and 1 granddaughter Morghan.
