Richard T. Carpenter 97 of Beaumont died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Summer Place in Beaumont. A native of Vidor, he was a longtime resident of Beaumont. Richard is a member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Village Mills. He proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWI where he was in the Battle of the Bulge. Richard was a self employed master plumber and was the owner/operator of Carpenter Plumbing for 35 years. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park. Richard was preceded in death by his sons Tommy Carpenter and Ron Hoffpauir and daughter Susan Carpenter. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Fannie Carpenter of Beaumont, TX, sons David Carpenter of Vidor, TX, and James Carpenter of Dallas, TX, daughter Martha Pavia of Seattle, WA, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
