Vidor

Reginald "Reggie" Zueman Stevenson, 68, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his home. A lifelong resident of Vidor, Reggie was a dedicated family man, friend, and community member who left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor and a proud, retired brick mason from Local Union #5, where he spent his career crafting structures with skill and pride.

Reggie and his wife Diane were inseparable, high school sweethearts who built a life together filled with love and adventure. Reggie had a passion for RVing and often hit the road with Diane to explore new places and enjoy the open air. He was happiest when on fishing trips with his grandsons, sharing stories and making memories along the Texas coast. Known as the family’s handyman, he was a master in carpentry and woodworking and could fix anything — never needing to call for help.

Watching his grandsons’ sports games and school activities was Reggie’s greatest joy. He never missed a moment to support them, and his presence at their events was a source of inspiration. His steady hand, warm heart, and quick smile will be missed beyond measure.

Reggie is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Diane Foster Stevenson of Vidor; sons Jeremy Stevenson Sr. of Orange, TX, and Wayne Stevenson of Vidor, TX; sisters Debbie Kelly (husband John) of Houston, TX, and Gayla Coe (husband Gary) of Beaumont, TX; brothers Donnie Stevenson of Beaumont, TX, and Lyndon Stevenson of Beaumont, TX; as well as his cherished grandsons Jeremy Stevenson Jr., Ty Stevenson, and Julian Bayard, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Delinah Stevenson; his parents, Wayne and Nelda Stevenson; and his in-laws, William and Ruby Foster.

Honoring Reggie’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or services. His family and friends remember him fondly and cherish the quiet strength and warmth he brought to their lives.
