Ray Sherman Bitner, Sr.

Ray Bitner, Sr. 87, of Vidor, TX died Saturday, March 18th, 2017 in Beaumont. A native of Lovelady, TX, Ray was a longtime resident of Vidor and enjoyed serving God. He was a longtime member of the North Main Church of Christ. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. Ray was a family man and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Ray is survived by 3 daughters; Debbie Dunlap and her husband Billy of Mauriceville, TX, Paula Phillips of Vidor, and Deedra Smith and her husband Ronnie also of Vidor, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and 1 sister; Evelyn Faver of Crockett, TX. Ray was preceded in death by his wife; Loma Pearl Bitner and a son; Ray Bitner, Jr.
