Ralph Carlos 'Shorty' Sowell

Ralph “Shorty” Sowell, 62, of Mauriceville died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his residence. A native of San Augustine, TX, he was a longtime resident of Mauriceville, TX. Shorty was a retired plumber and did some construction also. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Little Band Primitive Baptist Church in San Augustine, TX, with burial to follow at Sowell Cemetery in San Augustine. A gathering of Family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor in Vidor. Shorty is survived by his wife Ann Sowell, son Chris Sowell and wife Kristie all of Mauriceville, TX, brother Hillary Sowell of West Virginia, sister Clara Bennefield of San Augustine, TX, two grandchildren Kolbie and Kyleigh Sowell.
