Pete 'Petey' Ellis, Jr.

Pete Ellis, Jr., 65, of Vidor died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Galveston, Pete was a longtime resident of Vidor, and was a general manager with Newtron Mechanical, and longtime member of Pipefitters Local Union # 195. Pete was a member of Pine Forest Masonic Lodge #1420, and a member of the El Mina Shriners. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Pete was preceded in death by his son Dan Allan Ellis, mother Vickie Ellis, father Pete Ellis, Sr., and his sister Dana Kirkland. Pete is survived by his wife Carol Ellis of Vidor, children Kristi Lightfoot and husband Les, Trey Ellis and wife Diane, Fara Zelgowski and husband Roman all of Vidor, brother Keith Ellis of Vidor, sisters Pam Lakey, Brenda York, Linda Nobles, Robin Pokraka, Renee Williamson all of Vidor, and Regina Higgins of Groves, and seven grandchildren: Buddy, Hayden, and Jake Lightfoot, Printis and Connor Ellis, Kaleigh and Joey Zelgowski.
