Patsy Ruth Moreland

Pat R. Moreland, 91 of Vidor, Texas died Friday, November 29th, 2019 at Oakland Manor Nursing Home in Giddings. A native of Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Giddings several years ago. Pat was a Charter member of First United Methodist Church in Vidor and was a homemaker. She worked for Vidor State Bank for years and taught art classes. Pat had her own art showing once and was a good artist. Pat was a member of several social and dance clubs. She married her husband right after WWII and was married for 56 years to Victor "Ed" Moreland. Pat and Ed both were Vidor High School graduates and Pat was a high school cheerleader. Visitation will be held from at 3:00 - 5:00 pm Monday, December 2, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Pat is survived by her daughter Sherry Martin and her husband Charley of Brenham, TX, 2 grandsons David Blake Martin and Scott Andrew Martin and 1 great granddaughter Elyssa Martin.
