Oscar James Whatley Jr., 75, of Vidor, died Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 at his home. He was a longtime resident of Vidor. He loved watching westerns especially John Wayne movies, collecting things, telling stories, and spending time with his family. Cremation arrangements are entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor and will have a memorial service Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Sue Whatley of Vidor, TX, daughters Michelle Brunelle of Woodville, TX, Jami Whatley of Vidor, TX, Monica Whatley of Vidor, TX, son Chris Alvarez of Vidor, TX, sister Beverly Kauefman, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great granddaughters.
